The Vienna International School is looking to recruit a successful Learning Support Teacher with the following profile (in addition to the generic VIS Subject Teacher Job Description) as of 24 August, 2026 in Secondary School:

Learning Support Teacher in Secondary School; part-time position

  • 39,29% part-time cover contract linked to a colleague on parental part-time, we are therefore only able to consider local candidates
  • Start date: 24 August 2026, length tbc
  • Desired Qualification: M.A. in Special Education/ SEN Learning Support/Special Education Moderate or Severe Needs Teaching Credentials
  • Our ideal candidate has experience with the International Baccalaureate Programmes (MYP and/or IBDP).
  • Professional training and experience supporting students with:
    • Autism Spectrum Disorder
    • Dyslexia
    • Dyscalculia
    • ADHD
  • Experience and desire to support Grade 6-12 students in all subjects
  • Proven track record designing and implementing differentiation and behavior modification strategies
  • Familiarity with Positive Peer Culture and/or Positive Education models
  • Instructional leadership:
    • Experience organizing, facilitating and leading in-house workshops
    • Curriculum review and articulation
    • PYP - MYP - DP transition
    • Creative and solution oriented
