Vienna International School celebrates CIS and IB re-accreditation

VIS was engaged in an important process this year where it was independently evaluated against the Standards and Practices of both the Council of International Schools (CIS), and the International Baccalaureate (IB). This synchronised accreditation process is fundamental to our school’s operation. It enables us to function as a recognised educational body by other schools and universities around the world, and allows us to offer our three IB Programmes: the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programmes. We are pleased to announce the granting of re-accreditation status.  This accomplishment demonstrates our school’s commitment to continuous improvement.

“It is a moment of great pride and celebration for our school, which reaffirms the valuable programmes our school delivers, in trying to shape well-rounded students who will design a sustainable future for our world", says Lisa Biasillo, VIS Director.

The School will now review the reports that were prepared by CIS and the IB, which highlight commendations and recommendations. These reports will be incorporated into the School’s strategic plan and goal setting for the future. The School would like to thank the staff, parents and students for their continued support.
