Students Support Wings for Life Charity Run

We are immensely proud to highlight the exceptional efforts of 28 Grade 10 and 11 VIS students who recently dedicated their time and energy to support the Wings for Life charity run.

As part of their S&A/CAS contributions to the community, these students selflessly volunteered their services, leaving a positive impact on both the event and the noble cause it represents.

Wings for Life, as a non-profit spinal cord research foundation, is dedicated to finding a cure for spinal cord injuries. By participating in the charity run, both the runners and our student volunteers contributed to this noble cause. Their collective efforts symbolise the spirit of empathy, compassion, and community engagement that we strive to instil in our students.

The students enthusiastically contributed to the setup and operation of the first drink station, strategically located near the iconic Opera House. This station served as a vital pit stop for the 13,500 runners who participated in the Wings for Life charity run. With runners passing through in quick succession, our students played an instrumental role in providing hydration and support to these dedicated athletes.

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students who were involved in this remarkable endeavour. Your participation and commitment serve as an inspiration to the entire school community, and we look forward to witnessing more remarkable contributions from you in the future. By actively participating in initiatives like the Wings for Life charity run, you demonstrated the power of collective action and the potential for positive change.
