The Vienna International School is looking to recruit the following positions as of August 2026:
Individual (1:1) Learning Assistant (ILA) in Primary and Secondary School
- Part-time or full-time employment (percentage expected to be between 5% and 100%) – parent-funded
- possibility of supervising multiple students to be discussed
- fixed-term for 1 semester (end January 2027) or until the last day of school 2026/27
- expected starting date: August 24th, 2026
- ESS working conditions - depending on years of relevant training and experience: gross monthly salary full-time between € 2.765,25 and € 3.730,66

Competencies & Experience:
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, flexibility, and a compassionate approach to supporting children with diverse needs
- Have knowledge of the implementation of behavioral interventions and behavior modification plans for students with diverse needs
- Have knowledge of emotional regulation and sensory processing strategies of students with diverse needs
- Be able to implement proactive and preventative approaches to support students
- Have the ability to communicate in calm and consistent manner
- Experience supporting students with a range of identified learning needs, including literacy and numeracy challenges, social-emotional and communication needs, executive functioning difficulties, and neurodiverse learning profiles
- Qualifications in special education desirable
- Fluency in English
- The proven ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in teams
- The perseverance required to maintain high standards
- Can draw upon a wide range of appropriate strategies to meet a student’s diverse learning, social, and behavioral needs
- The ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, parents, and leadership staff

Middle School Volleyball Coach – Competitive Programme
Vienna International School is seeking a talented and committed individual to support our Middle School Competitive Volleyball Programme.
Spring Season: March 16 – May 30, 2026
Location: Vienna, Austria
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and lead volleyball training sessions
- Coach students during practices and competitive matches
- Support student skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
- Work with students in an international school environment
Qualified candidates should have:
- Experience coaching volleyball (middle school and/or competitive level preferred)
- Good communication skills in English
- A valid working permit
