Between 21–23 January, VIS students took part in and helped organise VISMUN, a Model United Nations conference held at the Vienna International Centre, leaving our community with a deep sense of pride.
Hosted in the actual UN building, VISMUN offered an authentic and unforgettable setting for debate and diplomacy. Students engaged in rigorous discussion, principled decision-making, and thoughtful negotiation, demonstrating confidence balanced with empathy and a genuine ability to listen. They did not simply represent countries—they embodied the skills, values, and global mindset that define our learning community.
This student-organised and student-led conference brought together 21 international school delegations and approximately 400 participants, making it one of the most significant events of the winter term. Organising a conference of this scale required exceptional leadership, collaboration, and commitment, all of which our students demonstrated with professionalism and maturity.
VISMUN stands as a powerful affirmation of the education we strive to provide every day—one that nurtures critical thinkers, principled leaders, and globally minded young people who understand that their voices carry both influence and responsibility.
