VIS Hosts Artist Rosemarie Forsythe for a Special Workshop

An Inspiring Visual Art Masterclass for the VIS Grade 11 and 12 Students

The Visual Arts Department had the privilege of welcoming renowned artist Rosemarie Forsythe for an inspiring workshop, made possible through the generous sponsorship of Art in Embassies and the organization of the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna.

Forsythe, known for her unique ability to blend cultural influences with contemporary artistic expression, guided Grade 11 and 12 Visual Arts students through an immersive creative session. Students had the opportunity to engage directly with the artist’s innovative techniques, explore new artistic perspectives, and challenge traditional boundaries in their own work.

The workshop was more than just a lesson in technique—it was an invitation to push creative limits, experiment with new forms of expression, and understand the powerful role that art plays in fostering international dialogue and cultural exchange. Forsythe’s insights into global artistic traditions and her approach to storytelling through visual art inspired students to see their work in a new light, encouraging them to think beyond conventional artistic norms.

As part of VIS’s ongoing commitment to providing enriching artistic experiences, this workshop was a valuable opportunity for students to connect with a practicing artist and gain first-hand exposure to professional artistic practices. A big thank you to Art in Embassies and the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Vienna for making this event possible and for their continued support of global artistic collaboration.
