Throughout the month of November, the VIS community came together for the Kindness Drive, a month dedicated to giving, sharing, and making a positive impact. Each week, students, staff, and families participated in meaningful initiatives that supported others in need and celebrated the true spirit of generosity.
The initiative reflected one of VIS’s core values: caring for our community and the world around us. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, contributed to creating a stronger, more compassionate school environment.
November 3–7: The month began with a clothing collection to support the Train of Hope Ukrainian Refugee Community Centre. Families donated well-kept clothing, warm sweaters, and gently used jackets, items that made a real difference as winter approached.
November 10–14: The Eco Team took the lead in organizing the Lost & Found Collection, inviting families to recover misplaced belongings. Remaining items were donated to those in need, promoting sustainability and community care at the same time.
November 17–21: The focus turned to comfort and hygiene, as the community gathered hygiene products and unused gift sets for PROSA. These donations helped provide care and dignity to individuals facing difficult circumstances.
November 24–28: The month concluded with Global Action Week, a vibrant celebration featuring student-led activities, displays, and opportunities to contribute to global projects. It was a powerful reminder of how kindness can extend far beyond our school walls.
The Kindness Drive showcased the generosity, empathy, and teamwork that define VIS. Thanks to the collective efforts of our students, teachers, and families, November became a month filled with compassion and meaningful action, proof that together, we truly can make a difference.
