Our Theory of Knowledge (TOK) students took part in a collaborative workshop with students from International High School Herzogberg, focused on brainstorming and unpacking this year’s TOK essay questions. The workshop provided an engaging platform for students to explore ideas beyond their own classrooms and benefit from a wider range of perspectives.
Throughout the session, students worked together to exchange interpretations, compare viewpoints, and challenge one another’s assumptions—key elements at the heart of the TOK course. Through open discussion and guided inquiry, participants deepened their understanding of knowledge questions, ways of knowing, and real-world contexts connected to the essay prompts.
The collaboration strengthened students’ grasp of core TOK concepts and, at the same time, fostered meaningful connections within the wider IB community. Working alongside peers from another IB school encouraged confidence, open-mindedness, and thoughtful dialogue, reinforcing the value of shared inquiry in the learning process.
This enriching experience highlighted the importance of collaboration and cross-school engagement in developing critical thinking skills. We look forward to continuing opportunities that connect our students with the broader IB network and support their growth as reflective and inquisitive learners.
