Grade 11 Math Competition in Warsaw

A group of Grade 11 students at Vienna International School participated in the ISMTF Senior Math competition on 3 March to 5 March.

This year, the competition was held in Warsaw and hosted by The British School Warsaw, involving 180 students from 29 schools.

The competition consisted of individual and team rounds. Despite the difficult questions, the VIS first team scored 7th result out of 60 teams.

The Math competition was not only a successful experience, but also a fun one. After the competition, the students were involved in the “Sunday Chase Event”, a fun math activity to relax after the challenging competition. The students could also enjoy a little sightseeing tour around the old city and try the tasty Polish dishes in a traditional restaurant.

“I am looking forward to participating next year in The Hague”, said one of the student participants. “If you would like to challenge yourself with some fun questions and make new friends, I would definitely recommend you to join the Senior Math club."
