On 26 September, our school’s German Department proudly joined the continent-wide celebrations for the European Day of Languages, an annual event that promotes the importance of linguistic diversity and cultural understanding across Europe.
This year’s festivities brought vibrant creativity to our halls. Grade 6 students showcased their language skills and cultural backgrounds by creating colorful language profiles, which highlight the many languages spoken within our school community. These profiles, now displayed in the German Corridor, offer a beautiful snapshot of the rich tapestry of languages that make up our student body.
In an exciting first, Grade 7 students also participated this year. They designed “Be-Kind Posters” in their home languages, combining art and empathy to spread positive messages throughout the school. The posters reflect not only our commitment to multilingualism but also our shared values of kindness and respect.
Visitors and students alike are invited to explore these displays, which will remain up for the coming weeks. Don’t miss the chance to see how our young learners are embracing and celebrating Europe’s linguistic diversity!
