Building Bridges: Grade 11 Partners with PROSA for Educational Equity

On 5 February, our Grade 11 students visited PROSA (Projekt Schule für Alle), marking the latest chapter in our school’s ongoing partnership with this impactful organization. PROSA provides a vital pathway for young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, helping them navigate the Austrian school system and obtain the qualifications they need for a successful future.

Mentorship in Action

The visit focused on the buddy mentoring programme, a core component of our students' CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) experience. This initiative goes beyond simple tutoring; it is about building genuine connections and fostering a culture of inclusion. By working side-by-side with PROSA students, our Grade 11s are helping to break down social barriers and promote equal educational opportunities for everyone in our community.

This partnership aligns directly with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. Our students are seeing firsthand that education is a fundamental right, and that community support plays a crucial role in making that right a reality for those facing systemic challenges.

Growing the Movement

The impact of the visit has already sparked a ripple effect across our campus. Since returning, the Grade 11 team has reached out to Grade 9 and 10 students, inviting them to join the cause. This expansion allows younger students to participate as advocates and mentors as part of their Service as Action requirements.

By involving more year groups, we are ensuring that our commitment to social justice and educational access continues to grow. We are incredibly proud of our Grade 11 students for leading the way and for inspiring their peers to take meaningful action.
