Teachers play a critical role in educating and shaping children’s lives. Good teachers are generally kind, patient, hard-working, dedicated and understanding professionals that mold children’s lives in a positive direction. Parents entrust their children to the teachers, and they affect their lives on a daily basis.
Teacher International Appreciation Day is usually celebrated in the first week in May of each year. At Vienna International School, on Friday, 10 May, all teachers and administrative staff were presented a special treat of being welcomed with a piece of fruit followed by a splendid buffet of savoury and sweet things to eat.
The Parent Teacher Association were keen to introduce this initiative as a way of expressing thanks for the work that everybody does to support the children. It was also lovely to see the students keen to share that sentiment. Thank you to all the parents for donating the bountiful amounts of food to the Staff Appreciation Day.
