Fundraiser for Australian Bushfires

This student initiative offered our community an opportunity to get involved and bring a contribution to remediating some of the issues that our world is currently facing.

The Vienna International School community came together on Thursday, 23 January to raise funds for supporting the animals endangered by the bushfires in Australia. This student initiative offered our community an opportunity to get involved and bring a contribution to remediating some of the issues that our world is currently facing. Bushfires in Australia are a widespread and regular occurrence that have contributed significantly to shaping the nature of the continent over millions of years. These fires can cause significant property damage and loss of both human and animal life.

With the contribution of the community, the team raised 1.280 Euro, amount to be donated to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park and Wildlife Victories sponsored charities.

Thank you to the members of the community who supported this project! Congratulations to our students for being responsible global citizens and for mastering the attributes of the Learner Profile as promoted by the International Baccalaureate.
