Enriching Minds: Niall de Búrca Visits VIS

We are privileged to have the opportunity to expose our students to the talents of prestigious authors and storytellers throughout the academic year.

Vienna International School (VIS) was honoured to host storyteller Niall de Búrca during the week of 4 September. Throughout the week, Niall de Búrca transported our students on a literary journey, weaving tales that transcended geographical and cultural boundaries. His storytelling was an educational experience that encouraged our students to think critically and appreciate the diversity of human experiences. Niall interacted with the students, encouraging their active participation in the stories, and making them feel like integral parts of the narrative.

Moreover, Niall de Búrca's stories served as windows into various cultures and traditions from around the world. Through his narratives, our students gained a deeper understanding of the customs, values, and perspectives of different societies. This exposure to multicultural storytelling broadened their outlook and instilled in them a sense of global citizenship, emphasising the importance of empathy and tolerance in an increasingly interconnected world.

At Vienna International School, we are committed to providing a holistic education that extends beyond textbooks and classrooms. We believe that such experiences are essential in shaping well-rounded individuals who are not only academically proficient but also culturally aware and socially conscious.
