Required Qualifications for Teaching Positions
All teachers must hold an appropriate teaching certificate, academic degree or a comparable teaching qualification acceptable to the School. In appointing teachers, preference is given to those who have had four years of teaching experience, have not taught exclusively in their own national system and who have appropriate computer competence.
Interviews
As a general rule, face-to-face interviews are required prior to
any appointments. Interviews are held at the candidate’s
expense in Vienna, or any other agreed location. VIS advertises and
recruits through CIS, Search Associates. In 2011 will be attending
fairs in London, Bangkok and Kingston (Queens University).
