Welcome to VIS!

We are happy to welcome you to our school. VIS is a truly international community and many of us have gone through the (e)motions of moving internationally. You are probably working though endless to-do lists before the movers are packing up your belongings to ship them to Vienna, or you might already be in temporary housing.

Next to all the practical issues that need to be resolved, you need to deal with the emotional side of the transition, for you and your family. The VIS parents would like to help you settle into the school. We will be available to answer any and all questions about the school and also any you might have about living in Vienna. If you are interested, we will try to find a "buddy family" - someone from your home culture, who speaks the same language, or who has children in the same grades as your children.

Let us know if you would like us to contact you before school starts. Most VIS families are travelling during the summer and will be back the week before school starts. Please give us an e-mail and/or a telephone number where we can reach you (a hotel number and a name / room number is also an option if you are without communication means!). We’ll do or best to contact you and help you!
