VIS has always supported many different fund raising organizations around the world.
In 2005/06 the VIS fund raising committee decided to concentrate their activities on supporting the education of children in parts of the world where education and literacy are not easily available.
Sr Lucy, director of Maher, visits VIS in June 2009. Mr.Walbran presents the donation
The project MAHER in India was chosen to be the main recipient of VIS Fund raising. Maher is a project for destitute women and children and has based its philosophy on the same principles as that of VIS: humanistic, cultural and religious equality. The total amount we raised in 2009/2010 was € 26,000. Our effort gave 80 children in India an education and a new life with dignity.

The Maher Interest Group, a group of secondary CAS students, organizes many fund raising activities and raises the awareness of students about global issues. The Primary School Student Council is also involved in supporting MAHER through diverse activities. Many staff members donate monthly contributions for this purpose. The Primary Choir also dedicate their Fun Fest and Spring concert fund raising to MAHER.
